  • Yes. I go without things I want because I can not afford them (cute shoes, new purse, new car, better headphones, etc . . .) I save money so I don't go without things I need. :)
  • Nothing yet as far as the current world-wide economical situation. YET!
  • I have cut out all soda and I make my own latte at home instead of buying one first thing in the morning.
  • Less dining out. Darn.
  • A lot. My husband just had his hours (at one job) reduced by half, so we have barely enough to pay all the bills. Silver lining: he's able to spend more time with us. We now do without any frills, like my 2 or 3 lattes a week, and his nightly trips to McDonalds. Now I pack a "lunch" for him to take to his night job out of the leftovers my daughter and I had for dinner, which is actually healthier for him than McDonalds. Also, our dryer just conked out on us, and since we can't afford to replace it I go to the laundromat a few times a week. My daughter doesn't know it's due to financial problems, she just thinks it's a cool time where we sit on a blanket on the floor, eat snacks, do puzzles, read books and color, so the silver lining there is it is nice one-on-one time with my little girl we might not have otherwise. In spite of our financial situaion my husband and I feel so blessed. We have everything we need, a few things we want, each other and our wonderful little girls.
