Want To Sleep With A Miner

Question

Help answer this question below.

Does God consider it a sin to squander God-given abilities? Like if a genius with looks, likability, and athletic talent lazies their way into a life as an uneducated waiter or busboy, will they burn in Hell for that, assuming no other sins?

No. First of all, what God considers a good use of our talents and what the world considers a good use of our talents are two totally different things. God really isn't interested in how much money we make, just in how much we serve Him and serve others. A busboy may have more opportunities for service than an athlete. That would be fine with God.

Secondly, it isn't a case of hell for not using your talents effectively, its less of a reward. Hell is for those who want to be there: those who reject God's offer of heaven, those who hate God, those who associate His name with evil.

I'm not trying to answer the question, I just want you to keep in mind that you are posting in the general religion's section about a question specifically about Christian thought. Not every religion believes in the same god, believe in the concept of sin, or believes in the existence of a hell-like place/state of being.
