Follow these steps to clean your USB or laptop keyboard:
* Unplug USB keyboard or turn off your computer.
* Turn your keyboard upside down and shake it.
* Use canned compressed air to blow between keys or vacuum your keyboard.
* Wipe your keyboard with a damp soft cloth (use warm water or mild cleaning solution).
* Dry with another cloth.
* Clean the keys with a moist cotton swab.

About a 8, its been a couple of months since i have cleaned it, its still pretty clean, as i keep my hands clean and dont eat at the keyboard anymore :), biggest cause of dirty keyboards.

1 I'm sitting at a school computer. Where 500 other students touch the keys with filthy hands. Plus they've decided that they keys need to be switched around so some of them are backwards. Good thing i know all the keys :)

About a 2. The keys are fairly clean, but some of my buttons require extra effort to push down because of crumbs and what not under them. :P

I would say an 8,I never eat over the computer(Um no more than 3 meals a day) and never had a drink near it(like the 12 pack of Dew)and oh,ok,it's a 7 then,,sheesh..hehe

It's really clean, just like all my remotes, too. I'd say 9 right now. I routinely get all the crumbs and no smudges ever allowed.

The tops of the keys are clean, but there's dust between them and at the very top where there are some buttons that I never use.

Eh. 5. I cleaned it a few months ago when I spilled water in it, but my room is dusty and I drop food in there occasionally (it's terrible, I know). The keys are clean, but I shudder to think what's under them. I'm not worried about it, though. I've never had a keyboard die on me (except for the one that got shorted out)!

Not bad actually. When the regular keyboard gave out we plugged in this rubberized, roll it up and take it with you thing from the dollar store.
