  • My husand and I do too, Dracool! I logged in to your question to see what others had in the way of an answer! We subscribe to Consumer's Report, but we always wonder how "biased" that report may be! So far, it looks like I'm the only one to log-in! LOL
  • GE is OK. Just check the length of the warranty and hang onto the paperwork. The compressor on my last GE expired a couple of months before the warranty expired. I called and they sent a guy right out with a new compressor. Problem solved. No charge. Years later I got a Sears "Kenmore," for several reasons: 1. It was the only make/model I could find that would fit into the available space in my old kitchen. 2. Sears delivered and installed it in a jiffy, for a small fee (don't remember how much). 3. The price was quite fair and I didn't have to wait for a special "sale" to come around. Tips: 1. Measure the outside dimentions of the slot it must fit into, height, width, and depth, and take the measurements with you to the store, along with your tape measure. 2. Decide what capacity you need, in cubic feet. I didn't bother going to the store. I just called Sears and gave them the measurements it had to fit into. They asked "what color?" and a few hours later it was purring away in my kitchen. I found some online buying guides: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Select-a-Refrigerator http://www.us-appliance.com/rebugu.html "How to Buy an Energy-Efficient Commercial Refrigerator and Freezer" http://www1.eere.energy.gov/femp/procurement/eep_crf.html
  • Haier, quality at a low price.
  • I use the extractor, kitchen and refrigerator in an excellent brand called Bosch. These are not only very nice and elegant but also affordable. Check it out in this link: http://www.boschappliances.com/kitchen-appliances-refrigerator-freezer_refrigerators.html
