If it wasn't for the fact that my diary told me it was, I would have had no idea! I saw three kids with St George flags at the station, that was about the only hint the world was giving! I do wish we celebrated it like the Irish, or even I wish we celebrated it like the English celebrate Paddy's! It would just be nice to have a day of Englishness!

Who exactly? St. George is patron saint of tons of places. St. Patrick actually is someone to respect. He was one of the most forward-thinking people in the centuries between the fall of Rome and the Enlightenment.

Never heard of him. Why do you ask, do you work in a bank or are you just looking for another excuse to get blind drunk in public and not go to jail. That is all I ever see happen on Patric's day.
