Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a 97 Ford Ranger XLT and when I step on the brake pedal the right turn signal lights light up, both front and back. Also, when I try to turn my right signal on and hit the brake at the same time, the turn signal does not work. Any ideas?

there is a croos short in the wiring somewhere
