Oh yes, acres - it would surround the school, green grass with trees, a couple of baseball diamonds, improvised track & field, an area for the girls to skip, those big old iron swings and rickety teeter totters ---- so much fun. We even had teachers who enjoyed doing yard duty and took part in our lunchtime baseball games! Those were the days!
