Lavender and valerian helps. Also you can get the eye pads you keep in the fridge.

There are many things that can help.

you bend over a sink and get the water as hot as you can stand for 5 minutes then raise up for just a moment and get the water all cold and do this for 1 minute.

My favorite remedy would be to take a HOT shower, after that put on a plastic shower cap and then a knit hat and lay down and rub a tiny bit of Vick's Vapo Rub on my temples and forehead and cheeks(definitely NOT near the eye area) near my nose. I take a blissful nap in a darkened room and when I wake-I am usually headache free.

If it's a migraine, sometimes drinking coffee with caffeine works well.

For most headaches, though, what works well is doing EFT. It's a series of tappings and sayings and the headaches just leaves. I'll post a video to show you what it looks like. For instruction on how to do it and what else you can use EFT for, go to this website.

    http://www.emofree.com/

You can download the manual for free. There are many videos on Youtube showing how to do these series of tappings for many different problems.

Don't oversleep, like on a weekend. You're more than likely to wake up with a headche.
Even napping can cause a migrain.
If you sleep in an awkward position, even on your stomach it can cause the muscles in your neck, to contract and oh oh headache. But sleep on your back that helps.
Most of the time I just sleep a headache off. Just don't oversleep.
I also find that a cold ice bag also helps.
Sometimes I'll just take a hot shower.
All these depend on how severe the ache is.

headaches are tricky because even constipation, cholesterol, stress, sinusitis, not eating all these can cause a headache.so everyone is a little different but what i have found to be good is the herb feverfew 2 cap or a tea,a cold press of ginger on forehead, and a cleanser if it is because of contipation

Strongly depends on the headache! Could be muscles, get a massage. Could be stress, relax. Could be sleeping on an airplane, get off the plane. The answer may be apply heat, or perhaps apply cold.

What kind of headache do you have, and what are the likely causes, treat those first.

If this is a chronic condition, start to keep a diary, and Google up some triggers.

My favorite answers, although not always successful, are to hydrate myself, get comfortable, and meditate myself to a place where pain does not exist. But that's just me.
