    "Bad government is what happens when religion gets mixed up with politics"

    My personal definition of politics is:
    Politics is the public expression of ethic, and ethic is the personal expression of philosophy.

    Religion, ethic, philosophy, and morality will always be interconnected, so politics will always be intertwined too.

    Combine wing.walker and IntotheForge statements (both of which are true) and that means we are damned to being ruled by crappy governments as long as religion continues to be tolerated.

    Solution - Purge religion from at least a few countries, let the nations compete against each other. Some will excel at things such as Bio and Nanotech, while the other will excel at...overpopulating the planet and preserving ways of life that should of died out hundreds of years ago.
