"Got to get back to the land, set my soul free. We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon, and we got to get ourselves back to the garden." Anybody else ever felt this way?

    It's a great, classic song lyric. (from the song "Woodstock", for those catching up to the 60's).

    It resonates with the longing to return to something grounded, something closer to real and farther from chasing the illusions of wealth, fame, endless stimulation, and hollow success in a world fabricated with concrete and steel, electronics and information, irony, insincerity, and slick self-aggrandizement.

    Yeah, I've felt that way. But this dream, as beautiful as it is, is also fraught with illusion. You don't go back to the land to set your soul free, you set your soul free by finding out that your own thoughts are the prison.

    This is why the Aquarius generation fizzled out: they were mistaken about the nature of the prison -- they thought it originated outside of themselves.
