Does anyone else think that, dancing is a perpendicular expression of a horizontal desire?

Excellent question.

I certainly know that when it's done right, dancing increases the desire to get horizontal. Of course, there are many ways to go about it other than horizontal.

I don't think it is necessarily an expression of horizontal desire...I do believe that it is an indicator of how someone moves...to what end they are moving to, depends...with that said, it can be used as foreplay :)

I don't think that's always the case. It really depends on how you're dancing and who with. But it certainly CAN be.

it can be, even we silly humans have a mating dances like animals do. Though not solely an expression of sexual desire, who could deny it can be and is used for such reasons..and who hasn't heard someone say, a good dancer is good in the bed?

I do not. I still dance and I do it for the pleasure of enjoying it and frankly the gradification to know that I can still dance at the age of 56 and still do a lot of the old moves. i really just am happy dancing.

Dancing is just a form of a mating ritual. It's to show that one is physically fit and therefore a good candidate for helping to pass on your genes.

I don't think so, at least not for me. When I dance it's from feeling terrific and I want to move around happily, or sad and I want to express that freely. Or I might do some dancing to please someone else, but it's not sexual, it's sensual or textural. I guess I don't see dance as an excuse to be near someone in a different close way.

I don't know if it's the same effect for everyone but I think that's a powerful sexual preliminary!
