Do you think that new generation is getting more smarter and clever?

    as i am a part of the new generation, i should hope that we are becoming smarter. i guess it all comes down to a matter of opinion. each generation has it's own priorities and it's own values.

    I personally am part of this "new generation" and being that I have to attend school each day and deal with the complete non-sense, arrogance, stupidity, and lack of depth that all of my fellow pupils display, I can only guess that with every new generation, our knowledge is lacking more and more.

    Either this, or I was born in a year where parents bore extremley annoying egotistical and thick headed children :D


    EDIT: look. I couldn't even spell "display" right at first.

    well the new generation is made to be smater than the old generation. an example is im a senior rite and it was rough cause the teacers wernt fully explaing the subject rite then come the freshmans and there all in the honor roll im like it has to be the teachers

    Based on that I woould say no.

    In general, I would say they know more earlier, but they can not do more with that information than any other generation.

    We have given this generation access to more info, but they are not smarter. Smarter means connecting the dots and this crew does not do it better than we did.

    I don't think people get any more smarter or cleverer as the generations go by, it's rather the information, tools, and changing life-views we have these days that are different. Besides, you can't really define one generation as being more/less clever than another, I think.
