Not in its entirety - of course not. But Bush did have a spend-and-don't-tax policy which didn't help the economy at all. And he did piss off the rest of the world in a way many Americans don't appreciate. Of course it wasn't all his fault - but he made a bad situation much worse.

Well, he certainly didn't make things much better in his eight years, especially by alienating the rest of the world and potential allies. So for the most part, yes, since he could have been improving both areas instead of making them worse.

Foreign relations - Absolutely YES. After 9-11 the US and he had the whole world's support and goodwill. He squandered that within 6 months or so and then continued to show the rest of the world he could care less about them unless they pa rotted him.
    .
Economy - Partly. There are too many factors that contributed to the situation - some going back, in the US, to the 70's or earlier and some simply outside his control at all.

But, his entire economic policy was one of transferring even greater wealth to the already richest Americans, ignored the costs of the 2 wars he started, corporate welfare, and astronomical debt. And - he did nothing to try and fix the historical issues mentioned above.

All in all - his all around staggering incompetence didn't help much either.

No I don't because as I've said over and over again that this isn't the first time this has happened. Abraham Lincoln wasn't liked very much when he was president and they had harder times than we are now. Only after he was assassinated did he become popular. I blame it in fact on the split of the Republican party. We see it in history that when a party is split they lose the initiative to do much.

    Yes.

He rubber stamped every single one of the proposals put forth by the Republican party that screwed over the working class folks here in America, and ran roughshod over even the simplest etiquette. He chose to go it alone, and like the Hubris he is full of, he did.

although i think he made some errors, i do not blame him for any of this. This same economic issues are happening all over the world right now. Our foreign relations havent changed much. The majority of Arab nations have wanted to kill all americans sonce the 1970's. Our relations in the UK and eastern Europe are better than ever, the french have always played both sides of the fence, the Germans, after being blamed for two world wars, are understandably nervous about getting involved. The canadians have always thought we were nuts. and the mexican drug cartels have always wanted free entry to their buyers. Nothing has changed except public semi-awareness.

The economic problems have been building for years - going back to the "Ray Gun" days - so I don't credit Monkeyboy with causing that particular disaster, although his policies surely made it worse.

On the international scene, Bush was a disaster of epic proportions - From the breaking of the ABM treaty with the Russians, to the war in Iraq and torture, his cowboy mentality, ( I call it the Howdy Doody cowboy mentality, ), alienated our friends and rewarded our enemies over and over again.

And his chattering little monkey-boy attitude of "My way or the highway" didn't endear anyone to rally with the old USA either.

Basically this meat puppet of a monkey became a planet wide hate object for everyone to jeer at. Thank god most people knew he was just a gibbering idiot and that the United States as a whole wasn't as insane as he was - and eventually his missrule would be over.

But was it his fault - or the fault of his owners - the cabal of neoconservatives and nationalists who bit off more than they could chew in their war to steal Iraq's oil...well, since he was a willing front man and stooge for these bastards I have to say that yes - he was and still is, as guilty as they are - and should stand trial for his crimes.

And they must stand for their crimes - or this nation will never heal - and for us to regain the trust and respect from other nations again.
