Help answer this question below.

I am tired, however I am also a bit emotional at the moment and I don't think I can fall asleep. Do you know any techniques that may help me clear my mind and relax?

    Lay on your back with your hands at your sides.
    Breathe in for 5 seconds, wait 2 seconds, and slowly release your breath over a period of 10 seconds.

    It is very relaxing, and you will be concentrating on the numbers and your breathing. If done right, nothing can get your mind away from that.

    There is a 'tapping method' that can be used to calm down and help you fall asleep.It is said that it is hard to concentrate on emotional thoughts why the exercise is in progress.
    Certain spots on your face and temples.On your forehead right between your eyes,one hand,one finger,tap tap tap....
    just under your eyes just above kind of on the top of your cheekbones,both hands,one finger,tap tap tap....

    Benedril and if you fany this type of music "Stockholm Syndrome" by Blink-182. Perhaps it's only me, but that's the one song that really relaxes me.

    Well i am not sure if you want to go straight to a medicine becasue that can turn into addictiveness.
    WHat i no is to: If you eat candy(any type of sweets), and soda...etc...before bed, yo should stop doing that. If you have to eat candy, make sure it is about 3-5 hours before bed. But actully i heard its better to have your last sweet thing at 12:00 pm. WHatever works for you.

    also, you should have a book that you read at night, and when your all tucked into your bed, shut your light off, and have a flashlight to read your book with. Your eyes will get use to th esmall light, so then as you read, you'll fall to sleep. It usally always works for me, and sometimes i even forgot to take my reading glasses off, so i ended up with these big marks around my eyes...lol.. crazy.

    p.s. there is actully a scienctific answer for your emotions. You are emotional becasue the less sleep you get through out th eweek, the more tired you are, and emotional you feel. You grow more depressed because of your lack of sleep.
