No. Citrus fruits belong to the family Rutaceae, and Pineapples are of the family Bromeliaceae. One major difference between the two is that citrus trees bear fruit from their branches, while pineapple fruit is actually the stem of the plant.

Pineapple is however considered an acidic fruit! You will find it recommended along with lemon juice to help retard the brwoning of other fruits!

Never said it was a citrus - just said it was acidic. You see, some people think that because a fruit is NOT a citrus fruit, than it is NOT an acidic fruit. For ex. many parents believe it's ok to offer very young babies pineapple because "it's not a citrus fruit" however, a very tiny tummy may not be able to handle the acidity and digestive upsets (and rashes) may occur! Tomatoes are fruits though - bravo to you for knowning that. Many believe they are veggies!
