Help answer this question below.
I am sure there are white people, in this world, that will treat you better because you are lighter skinned. Any white person, though, who is more impressed with you because you are a lighter skinned African American, is not worth impressing. They are racist!
Just because you are a lighter skinned African American, does not mean you automatically think you are better then anyone else, either. I do NOT believe, for a minute, that you think you are better.
The woman who are darker skinned African American's sound like they have a self esteem problem. Those ladies should be proud of who they are. Low self esteem, however, affects many people in all different races.
Racism is a terrible thing. Martin Luther King, who I think is one of the greatest people who ever lived, said a person should NOT be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
Please do not pay attention to anyone, of any race, who wants to judge you by the color of your skin. It is very important that you feel good about yourself and the race that you are.
Good luck! Think good thoughts!
