    Asker's Pick

Selected by the asker, Dannny. (What's this?)

The ones we wiped out, such as the recently extinct Black Rhino, there are many others.

As it stands the Earth is in a massive die-off extinction level event.

    Google it: http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&safe=off&site=webhp&source=hp&q=massive+die+off+underway&pbx=1&oq=massive+die+off+underway&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=8770l8770l1l9080l1l1l0l0l0l0l0l0ll0l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=e9de948b95aa575a&biw=1094&bih=609

So we are in the unique position to not only be the first species intelligent to wipe out others, we are also the first species intelligent enough to stop it.

Oh, we wont. We are also the most selfish species ever.

The thylacine, or the Tasmanian tiger as it was known. An amazing and weird animal that became extinct less than a hundred years ago. It was a marsupial wolf, and that is only half the story.

The dodo. Extraordinary creatures, hunted to extinction by mankind's greed and selfishness. However, according to Harry Potter, they are still alive

The Brontosaurus. Just imagine how much meat you would get from one of those. I almost put how much milk until I remembered that they were not mammals.
They also look so friendly compared to most of the other dinosaurs. They dont fit the "terrifying lizard" title which is what dinosaur means I think.

The dodo bird. from illustrations it seems like such a cute bird but it'd need to be held in captivity so it doesn't naturally go extinct again.
