  • Isn't that how you are always supposed to eat...doesn't seem like anything new.
  • In all honesty, I have not read a lot on it but I have heard about it. I have to say that over and over when I listen to the doctors at work and watch commercials relating to health/weight issues, I hear that many people skip breakfast and this is not good. Skipping meals can actually cause weight GAIN. Eating a large meal before you go to bed can also cause weight gain as your body is not burning as much while you are laying down asleep as it does during the day when you are more active. .. this diet makes a lot of sense to me from what I do know of it.
  • I don't know how that is a "reverse diet". Just because most people in the western world do it back-to-front most of the time doesn't make this the "reverse diet". Having a large breakfast, medium lunch and small dinner is the forward diet. Think about it, after you wake up your body needs food. Before you go to sleep you do not want lots of food in your stomach just sitting there.
  • I have not heard about it until now. It sounds very sensible (and not new) to eat a large meal early to give yourself energy for the day. Diet books are really just a gold-mine for publishers as they tout some gimmick that will make weight loss easier. If diets were effective there would not be so many overweight/obese people. Weight loss is simple maths, energy in should be less than energy out.
  • Makes perfect sense. No-one goes on a long car trip, limping the whole way with the fuel guage hovering on 'Empty', before getting home and filling the tank to overflowing and parking the car in the garage!
