Yes we do, but not because of crime. We have lever doorknobs and it's possible for an animal like a bear to come in our house just by pressing on the lever. We've got 3 doors downstairs and it's too much of a risk to have a bear come wandering inside at night LOL!!! It's been bad enough to find bear noseprints on our glass doors :-)

No, 'cause sometime I go to bed before my kids are home. I hate waking up if they don't have their key. The neighborhood is fairly safe.

I rarely lock my doors. My grandma lived near a federal prison, she would lock her doors but left her keys in the car. She figured if one of the inmates escaped they would find her keys and keep going far away from her.

i live in a safe neighborhood and everything, but i get paranoid when doors are unlocked....
i have lots of windows in my house, so you can see into it from outside. this can freak me out sometimes, so making sure the doors are ALWAYS locked is a very important thing. =) safety first. =)
