    we are fans of the S.F. giants..iam very skepticalthat barry will be inducted in such a prestigious category..with the steroid scandels and recent traffic stop that resulted in drugs being found in his possession..no...i dont think he will ever be inducted..if im wrong, i'll eat a bowl of escargot!

    Do his pre-steroid statistics make him a Hall of Famer? I think they do, however I wouldn't put him in on the first ballot (or at all). He probably will get in, although I don't think he should - he has tarnished the game of baseball far too much in my opinion.

    Yes, unless he is found guilty of using steroids. He has not been suspended or found guilty yet. He might not be a first ballot inductee, writers don't like him, but it would be impossible to ignore his statistics.
