If you have it timed 14 degrees retarded then you probably have the distributor installed a tooth or two off. Typically an engine like that will like 12 degrees advanced but if it runs good I guess you can't complain!
I can not get my 1972 chevy truck to start. It gets fuel, turns over, but will not start. I checked all electrical wires and they are still connected. I drove it recently (about two weeks ago) and parked it without any problems. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a 1966 Chevrolet pickup truck, with a speed on the column . I would like to change to a three speed on the floor. Does the entire transmission have to be changed or just a change of the linkage setup to put in a floor shifter?
