  • Bad switch or resister.
  • Dodge has this funny idea about heater controls. They stick a 'resistor block' into the AC blower housing to bleed off voltage so you can have several fan speeds. But when the tiny little resistor for position 1 burns out, it kills all of the resistors, leaving the only functioning speed Full On. You'll have to replace the block, or just jumper across the bad resistor. I'll be doing that if the stupid thing burns out yet again. Mine cost about $18.
  • I'm not sure if you mean that the fan doesn't work unless it is on high or if you can't feel any heat unless it is on high. If it is the latter of the two then check your coolant levels. When your low on anti-freeze your heater doesn't kick in.
