Lie. You wont get a job saying you were a convict. You may get fired for a lie but its not certain that you will be caught.

If you have been convicted, answer yes. If it is found out and you're fired for lying on the application, the repercussions can be far-reaching. You will not be able to collect unemployment if you are let go for lying on your app. and it may affect future employment.
