Not all pro-lifers are like that. You could say that some are but not all are. Including me.
-
That's kind of funny; I've never heard that before. I'm sure it's not true of even many pro-lifers, but it's a clever soundbite for the opposition.

Where have you heard that? Most Pro-Life people believe in the baby having the chance to live. Having the baby live in a terrible condition is basically not living at all. Why would they consider abortion murder if they do not care at all about the newborn baby? Letting the baby live in a terrible condition can be murder itself. If my argument seems thin, I'll just say that I am, for the most part, Pro-Life. I care much for newborn babies, thank you very much =)

Im actually pro-choice. However, I dont agree with your presumption. Most pro-lifers Im sure are worried about the child after the birth. Some groups spend a lot of time, money and effort tryign to find new homes for women who do not want their child but are persuaded not to have an abortion. So although I believe in choice - I think you are being very hard on pro-lifers.
-
Actually, most Pro-Life people respect life at all stages, including me. It would be a bit ironic for someone whose Pro-Life to not care about what happens to newborn babies...

You're just stirring it up. No pro-life person in the world thinks that way. I know this because they aren't pro-life if that's what they believe. Prolife is believing that life begins at conception and ends with natural death. If you have issues deal with it. Don't start putting words in peoples mouths when you have no clue!! And if you ever meet someone who claims to be pro-life and that is what they believe, tell them they need to get their priorities straight!
-
you're totally right. most prolifers are so focused on getting the baby out of the birth canal so they can call it a day and say they saved a fucking life.
-
I think the choice is at conception. I consider myself pro-choice, but most people would call me pro-life. Once you're pregnant, you made your choice. There are exceptions of course... health of the mother, rape, etc.

I am pro-life and I certainly care about the baby after birth and so am also very pro-adoption. Also we have a young teenage girl in our neighborhood and many of our neighbors and ourself have gotten together and bought her baby items, offered free babysitting for a year, offered free diapers and formula for the year if required, etc. and paid her rent and have literally taken her under our wing. I would like to know how you came to your conclusions. Obviously you have gone through some turmoil or watched someone else get treated horribly. I am sure there are plenty of inconsistent pro-life people out there just as there are some bitter pro-choice people.

Actually, they continue to care about the baby. Well, not all of them do. But, it's when that baby begins to walk and talk that they don't give a s**t anymore. This society is child-centric, but that doesn't mean they care much about children. As far as they're concerned, it's only important for a woman to have babies.
