  • A relative truth means that what is said is "somewhat" true...meaning aspects of it are true. Subjective truth is based on personal opinion.
  • "relative" implies a comparison to or relation to something else. A truth that is true only in relation to something else "subjective" points to a truth based on one's own internal processes. Something is true from a particular point-of-view.
  • Well, what I learned in a philosophy class was objective and subjective facts. an objective fact is something like "water is wet" or "this table is made of wood" -- basically that as long as people agree on the meanings of the words (and aren't going into meta-physical things of "well, we perceive that it's made of wood, but..."), everyone agrees. It is true for everyone. A subjective fact is something that's taken as truth within a group. In a church, you can say "jesus loves you" and no-one will question it. Everyone "knows" it's a fact. ooor you can say in a group of scientists that life on earth evolved from a common ancestor. Outside the lab, you might have to argue that point and some people will never believe you, but it's taken as fact in that group.
  • Not 100% sure bout here's my shot: a subjective truth is something thats always true from all points of view(logical thinking not crazy thinking where ppl always going to the insane extremes) ex: George washington is dead relative truth depends on your point of view. in a way its kind of like an opinion ex:an ipod touch is more interactive then a zune
  • Subjective truth doesn't make as much sense as relative truth. A relative truth is a conditional truth, a truth that is true in certain circumstances. A subjective truth is something that is "true" for some person but this is really not truth in any genuine sense.
