I believe familiarity is the cause of most break ups.

To answer your question about is dating the main problem in breaking up many relationships.....I believe the answer would be no. The greatest breakup in any relationship is not being willing to listen, communicate with the person, and, most of all really get to know that person, and, accept them for whom they really are. All to often, we judge a person, but, do we ever really take the time to get to know them. As a Pastor, I like to encourage people to get to know each other......really truly get to know each other, not in a sexual way, but, person to person. What does the person like. What does the person dislike. What are their real true qualities. When you know this about a person, then having a relationship can prove fruitful....lead to successful dating....and, perhaps even to a wonderful marriage relationship. One of the greatest assets in any relationship is being able to trust, and, if the person does do something which offends you, being able to forgive (truly forgive...forget it and get on with life), and, not let this incidence come between you. Love is a wonderful word.....but.....takes a lot of hard work to maintain. I believe we need to start out as friends.....discover each other, and, then see where things go from there.
