I want to stop taking birth control pill cuz the side effects are horrible but i dont want to get pregnant...how long after i stop do i wait to have sex in order not to have a "surprise" a few weeks later?

You can have sex.. just use condoms. I'm doing the same thing right now. The pill was giving me some very bad symptoms. :(
