  • Because "left handed' scissors are optimzed for use with the left hand.
  • We rightys can't handle the "backward" scissor. It not backwards for leftys though. They have been forced to conform to the right handed world.
  • Well it's the design. The right handed scissors are designed so that you can see the edge of the blade on the right of the line you are tracing, whereas left handed scissors are designed to trace the line with the blade to the left of the line. The biggest problem I have is the blade blocking the line I'm trying to follow precisely when using left handed scissors.
  • Same reason us leftys can't use right handed scissors very well, they aren't made for the other hand! Although, being left handed, I will say, left handed scissors are overall terrible anyhow!
  • The blades are reversed, so the cutting line is hard to see and the paper often gets scrunched up and stuck between the blades. But you could use it upside down if you really wanted to. Funny though, because I have trouble using left handed scissors with my left hand.
  • becuse they don't use them with their left hand.
