Being that much closer to my final dirt nap;)
-
I'm only 22 so i haven't a clue.
-
Honestly? (and this is not a joke) "Yippee!! Eight years since the heart attack and I'm still here!"
-
Well, I'm only 20 for now, but turning 40 would be a blessing for me. Some people don't even make it to 20.
-
Very Happy! I remember that I went to different stores at a Shopping Mall looking for a shirt with the number 40 stamped in big letters. Couldn't find one! I was planning to show up at work with that shirt. What I loved the most is that I was turning 40, but most people I dealt with told me that I looked like if I was in my twenties. Very young looking....and turning 40 was like a big joke.
-
Didn't bother me at all now thirty was a different matter lol :)
-
It meant that my kids were almost grown and I was almost free! But in reality - I am 50 now and the kids are still a major part of my life - geez!!!! I would not have it any other way though - except living with us!
-
3 years away and dont care, but 30 was tough! It was like losing my youth, the party years were over, i was bummed, but now , whatever, im ready for my fortys!!
-
Didn't pay any attention to it.
-
It meant yet another milestone birthday that my wife would laugh at me about. But that's OK...She may be younger than me but I'm dragging her kicking and screaming over the hill with me!
-
Dunno. I haven't done it yet. :-)
-
A new pair of glasses to read the newspaper, new vitamins, more doctor appointments, watch what I eat.:) lol
-
For me it meant I was all grown up. No more excuses.
-
to me it was about 25,000 bucks a year more. My contract with the local health authority in Australia was for ten years. On completion of my seventh year as consultant neurologist (Which was my 4oth birthday) meant a huge pay rise. The term life begins at 40 was dead right for me..
-
not much.....my mother told me that 'life begins at 40'...but she was really wrong...I just turned 60 and it just keeps getting better...(and I mean it:)
-
It didnt hit me yet, but my hubby is turning 40 this year. So what? He never changed since I met him 21 years ago. The only thing changed - he became a really good father.
-
Just another day.
-
That i was getting younger as i lived
-
Not much. I think I went to see a Star Trek movie with some friends. Didn't feel any different to I did at 39 & not much different now I'm past 50.
-
Not a thing. I haven't observed my birthday since I was in college, and I'm not crazy about others doing so, either.
-
Turning age 40 meant that my life is half over
-
The birthday itself didn't mean much, but that's when I was diagnosed with arthritis in my back. After that I started collecting diagnoses! It was the beginning of my daily pain assessments.
-
I had a brand new pair of platform boots from one of my sisters. The ones I had for my 40th birthday were gold-coloured and somewhat Abba-esque, and some of my friends thought I was going upmarket after years of wearing Spice Girl-style boots. Lol :)
-
Nothing, really. I wasn't bothered at all. I felt much more when I turned 50, and then I had the sense that I had finally achieved some mature adult wisdom and stature and the right to my views.
-
when i turned 40 it was just another day with no meaning at all ..was no movie made about turning 40 then
-
just another day. I went to work no different to any other.
