Possibly they breathed in the chemicals (if there was any) in. Even though you washed it out numerous times, they breathe every second and they must of got it in them. Swimming on their sides doesn't sound quite normal. If they're still alive i wouldn't let them suffer anymore. It's best to just stop them from suffering.
aww that sunds so sad :( please go to a vet and help it. and ur meant to leave water out over night to release toxins before u put the fish in it
I have to bring 30 feeder fish to school and i was wondering if it would be ok to keep them in the bag they come in overnight?

My goldfish has his side fins clamped to his side and he just lays on the bottom of the tank then everynow and then shoots to the top and

The sides of the mouth on my 2yo Oranda are collapsing. They are so narrow squished peas barely get in. Should I try to open it wider?

You're reading My toddler poured wahing up liquid in the goldfish container , it was only in there for about 5 -10 seconds. i changed the water 3 times, they look very ill , they are on there sidsides, swimming eratically and bumping into things, they look like they are
