  • I hope I am right in this, but those parts are the parts used for removing the heat out of the shelved section of the fridge. The heat is removed and cold is not added, as such. The compressor is a moving part, and friction will also add to heating this up.
  • I think this is normal for the hermetic compressors because the electric motor also uses the refrigerant to cool itself, if it runs a long time it will heat up, check and make sure you dont have door leaks, when it runs and stays cool that means your out of refrigerant.
