Yes ! They're v-e-r-y flattering to a svelte figure. I'm also old enough to remember when they called them "cigarette pants" ! They're very retro-Hollywood. The glamour years !

I have never seen pants with the zipper at the back. I thought that was only skirts

Wear a skirt.

I remember in the old days women's pants always had zippers in the back. Later they put the zippers on the side. Nowaday, all the zippers are in the front.

Zippers were put in the back in order to emphasize that they were women's "slacks" (as women's trousers were known). The zipper in front of men's trousers was always called the "fly" and its lavatory association conjured up troubling images for some people. So the zipper was put in the back or side so you'd know it wasn't a "fly." A more practical reason to put the zipper in the back was that skirts and dresses usually were fastened at the rear, and women's trousers were sometimes adapted from skirt patterns. Rear zippers got phased out in the 60s and 70s during the trend toward unisex, when men's and women's jeans were often identical. It is also possible that younger women (and young designers) were no longer troubled by a man's "fly" on a woman's crotch.

i own one pair but they are still a little too big, they are a 12 in jrs i think, but i'm like a size 6 or 7 most of the time and don't know anyone who can make them smaller, but yes i do like them. i bought them for my now ex-gf at a place called Debs. trying looking at Macy's or online like ebay. i also have been looking for these pants, most of my skirts either zip on the side or are elastic, since i'm so skinny, its hard to find stuff that sits where its suppose too.
