Are the pirates testing President Obama? Is he passing or failing?

I'm sure that before they did this, the only thought on the "pirates" mind was to test President Obama to see if he would pass or fail. Man, you gotta hand it to those "pirates" they're almost as smart as "terrorists"

What in the red sphincter of Gehenna do the pirates have to do with Obama?

Piracy off the Somali coast started because of the big fishing vessels disseminated a rich fishing area. Local fishermen could no longer make an honest living so they fished for ransoms instead.

Now that the "fish factory" ships stopped going into the area, piracy has reduced and the fishermen can make a living.

Of course, now, good number of the former fishermen have learned that it is much easier to sell hostages than fish, they continue piracy and have the money to improve their boats and weapons.

It is just another example of "unintended consequences". Over fishing caused piracy the same way that Prohibition created the Mafia and drug laws created international drug cartels.

None of this had the least bit to do with the President of the United States.

Whether or not it is about the money or just testing is irrelevant.
Those scum of the seas should be taught a lesson with no quarter given.

Well he was questioned about it today by a reporter and his only response was I am not here to talk about pirates so it sound to me like he doesn't really care.
