Help answer this question below.

I have a 96 s10 blazer and it won't go into 4hi but I can for it to go into 4lo by setting it in neutral, then hit the 4lo button and then put it in park. this will engage it into low . How can I get it to work in 4hi?

    If the 4hi button blinks for a while then goes out, it is most likely either the encoder motor, or module. If it does not blink, it's most likely the switch.

    The normal procedure is to put the vehicle in neutral, E-Brake on, and fully stopped. Shift it out of 4Lo. Then shift it into 4hi from there. From what I read I don't think this is working for you. Does it go into 2Hi?

    This is vital since if it goes into 2Hi, then your transfer case may need a simple repair to re-activate the 4Hi gear.
