    the phrase "the bees knees" became popular in the 1920's in the US. it means the height of excellence

    Am I the only one that thinks "The Bee's Knees" comes from the phrase "The Business". As in "You look the business in that suit". Which has degenerated into "You look the bee's knees in that suit".
