With all of the diversity that we have in the US, along with the FREEDOMS that we have, I can't think of any other type of government that would work. Of the people, for the people. Democracy all the way.

Ask John Howard ... Another fool who seems to have all the wrong answers ...

I think we should never stop being a democracy, but we are a complicated one now, and I think we should be a simple democracy. In a simple democracy, the people of the country have more of a say in what goes on.

I've always thought a popular sovereignty would be nice.

I think the US should adopt the multi party system. In most democratic countries there is many parties. As opposed to 2 parties, which give a voter very little choice, there should be at least 3 major parties. This way no one party will be able to overstep their bounds, such as what is going on now. Then there would not be, what side of the political fence are you on.There would be a middle party and many fringe parties. Lobbying the government by special interest groups should be outlawed,as they only serve the interests of very few people.

an actual democracy would be good!

An empire with me as the unquestioned emperor. Nah I'm just joking, I'm reminded of a quote. "Democracy is the worst form of Government, except all the others that have been tried." I should also point out that technically we arn't even a democracy we are in fact a "Democratic-Republic"

I think the type of government Great Britain has, a monarchy, parliment, that kind of stuff. That way, we wouldn't have to worry about electing a new president every 4 years, we wouldn't have to worry about who rigged the votes, or who bribed people to vote for them, because we'd have a royal family, heirs to the throne and that's that. I think that we should also have a PM, that controls all of the america's, then one Queen or king for each America, not a president. I would love this type of government, ours is too full of secrecy, hecticality(that's not a word, but it just fit).

Social democracy, with more power to the states. As far as I'm concerned, in it's current state America is too economically powerful, to the detriment of less economically-endowed nations. Exploitation is as prevalent as power, something needs to be done.

Parlimentary system along the lines of the UK...without the monarchy. This would help with the quandries the US often finds itself in with the chief executive.
