Does anyone know what the stone heads of easter island are or mean? there very spooky because there almost alike!

    If you take a trip round the Pacific, and even into Indonesia (the peoples are ethnically and linguistically closely related), you will find many statues like this, some big some small. All represent ancestral figures.
    The first two photos are from North Sumatra Indonesia (Batak tribe), the last is from Tahiti. I am sure there are many other examples.

    Moai are stone statues (heads and truncated torsos).
    These statues represent deceased ancestors and may also have been regarded as status symbols of the living chiefs.
