  What would putting a mod chip into my original Xbox do for it? Like I know it can play burnt game discs, but what other features would it provide me with?

  I made a big mistake. I installed a v1.5 motherboard into a v1.6 case. I did not realize there was a difference. The 1.6 has an extra ground pin on the base, which shorted my 1.5 board. It does not power up at all now. Is it fixable or trash now? HELP.
