Hi Carbon. I checked with the flying Macaw branch and they told me some Macaws prefer to travel first class, not many in tourist. My suggestion is, what are those things that cover the whole side of the bird when it is sitting on its perch. These are called wings. What are wings used for. Flying. You put a tag around the birds neck telling it where to go, hey presto, you have your bird and it only cost you a few thousand when it crossed into Cuba, Russia and all those other nasy places. Why don't you have it stuffed, cost you nothing then.

I would say it is not very good for your macaw. Although he probably prefers to be with you, parrots hate different things, places etc...it probably stresses him more than you can imagine. Although I say this, it is also good to keep them in the "new" of things so that they will not freak out when in new environments. Also, I am not sure if he has had his vaccinations, but he could catch something, especially if he is held where they keep the other animals. I never did get my parrots shots, but if I were to travel a lot, I would consider it.

HAHAHAHAHAHA actually, I'm home now, and turns out I was gonna have to buy a new cage to meet saftey standards on the airplane, I was running short of money, so we just ate him for lunch instead. ;D
