Is it sore from overworked a day before? if it is, lightly work it out (5 min) to burn the lactid acid build-up, that's what makes it sore. Rubbing it down and re hydrating the muscles (gatorade is good). ALl these help the most, and like Anonymous says, a hot bath feels soooo good..

Soak in a hot tub with Epsom Salts. Takes the pain away immediately.
