made home-made port once...lots of effort and wasnt realy worth it.was 40% vol though so got pretty trashed off it :P

The rule with home made:- Beer, wine & spirits (In NZ we are allowed to distill) 10% will be for cooking it's below par,80% is every bit as good as store bought, But 10% is totally out of this world and you couldn't afford it, if it was available. That's why we make it,it's for that last wonderful 10%! ! !

I made a gallon of Burgundy wine years ago. Took months to ferment. Didn't taste to good. I gave it to my friend. He didn't mind.
