yeah, i still am... i enjoy it most of the time. i figure if i have some experience doing that then when i travel it should be easier for me to get some casual jobs for money along the way. my boyfriend is a bar manager and i don't hear him saying very many nice things about his job. but he's still there so i guess he doesn't hate it that much.

I bar backed but never bartended. I loved it because they let me drink (after the job) for free while I was under age. I didn't mind running the beers & ice up to the bar from the cellar. sometimes I would go to the tap in the cellar and fill my soda cup with beer. Why not? I was a kid back then.

yes i have bartended, and for a while enjoyed it. there are many factors that can make bartending more or less enjoyable. 1. your boss 2. your regulars 3. the customers 4. the tips 5. the work load 6. the type of bar you are working at personally i worked at a low-end dive bar in portland oregon and it was fun for a while. until things started getting to me, like my boss who was a sexist pig, the regulars were all retired vietnam vet alcoholics (some were amazingly nice), the clients didn't tip to well (hence the atmosphere), it wasn't the healthiest of enviroments... but i wouldn't change it, i learned a sh*tload about myself and human psychology.

I bartend and I love my job! I make great money and it pays my bills. Im 24 and I had worked for a Doctors office prior to my bar job and I always wanted to be a bartender. So I ordered a bartending book that was recommended to me. Bartendingexposed.com that's how I learned how to bartend. And yes I do enjoy my job so much more than working at the doctors office. I also attend FSU in Florida 2 days a week. I studied bartending in my free time. It only cost me $37.00 for the course. Hey, good luck take care!
