• At the risk of being a little crass..
  Last year my girlfriend Sue and I were standing in a shop in a place called Gellong in Australia..
  A man and two kids came in and then one kid said "Dad why does mum have such long legs?"
  The father who was wearing a hat with corks hanging on strings around the brim, said "Well boy ave you ever seen the marks that snails leave behind them? If ya mum didn't have long legs we'd be cleaning the floor all the time..!"

• Okay, I guess I'll get us started. Marijuana should be legalized because of many reasons.
  1) It is physically impossible to overdose on marijuana, that includes any system used to deliver THC to the blood stream.
  2) Marijuana could be taxed similar to cigarettes, and actually net a huge revenue in taxes every year, thereby helping the country's debt.
  3) Marijuana is not addictive.
  4) There has been less than 20 traffic fatalities that can be directly attributed to smoking marijuana, compared to the hundreds of thousands of traffic fatalities attributed to drunk driving.
  5) Marijuana can be used for legitimate medicinal purposes, including low appetite, stress reduction, and some pain relief.

• I'm sure the police force can find something other to do with their time than bust kids for smoking pot. Plus, there is always other drugs for the police to monitor, so I don't think that too many people will lose their jobs. The gateway drug is a little more complicated. Some may argue that the pot itself is responsible for the increased readiness to try other drugs. My own theory is that when you start smoking pot, you start to wonder if other drugs are really as bad as the government makes them out to be, because pot is not the horrible demon the government says it is.
