I wanna buy new speakers for my computer. I like listening to music but can't turn up the volume, or bass it up, too much, being in an apt. building. Will any cheap model suffice. My year old Klipsch's now crackle and pop.

Somebody gave me a fairly cheap set of Altec Lansing speakers from Wal-Mart as a gift awhile back, and they have been great. The bass is adjustable, I too live in an apartment. Sounds good for a computer, I've had them for years with no problems so far. I was looking for new speakers for a computer after a lot of research decided to buy the bose companion 3 series 2 the sound quality is truly mind blowing you can adjust the bass from a knob on the back you get a bass speaker and 2 small speakers that go on the desk it has a volume control unit which you can plug headphones and an ipod into.if you can stretch to £200 you wont be disappointed they emulate surround sound like a 5.1 speaker system.

i got a pair of cheep no name speakers from "big lot's" for 7.99 and they work great
