I believe I'd find myself a new man; and quick. That's one the signs of a very controlling man. If he does that to you, he'll be even worse down the road. Find someone who loves you and doesn't think they own you.

Well, I would either say that I was trying to look good for myself. Or, I would say I was trying to look nice for them and give them a kiss. Which would be a good way to handle it. There is a term for people who accuse you of cheating when they are cheating, it's called transference. They transfer their feelings of guilt onto you. That's one explanation. The person could just be insecure. The best thing you can do is refuse to get drawn into an argument about it. You do not have to participate. I learned this after years of being with a man who liked to argue.
