I would think they have no concern,nor time,to see if one has pirated files.They have many people to let through customs and need to work quickly.
I wouldn't think movies are a big deal since I know the copy on your laptop wasn't pirated, just a single backup copy of the DVD you personally own.
Customs guys are probably looking for bigger hauls, anyway, like stolen laptops, illegal aliens and drugs
Never a concern that I am aware of although I have read reports about pirated DVD's being confiscated in some airports.
If they decide they don't like you or if they like your stuff they care about anything they want to. The horror stories about these goons are mounting.
Just one more big brother shake down and invasion of privacy in the name of the so called war on terror that has no clear enemy in which there is no ending.
An excuse to intimidate and monitor law abiding citizens.
They don't care about anything, just doing their jobs.
