Help answer this question below.

I need a suggestion on what type of TV to get. I'm considering Plasma vs LCD TV, and even a projector, I like large screens. What has been your experience?

One thing to consider with a video projector is that they have a bulb that needs to be replaced every so often. usually the picture will fade, sometimes accompanied by the projector flashing "please replace the LAMP" or something along those lines.

I recommend LCD tvs. They take the least amount of power.
Its coming very close to the picture quality of a plasma.
Plasmas take lots of energy and is susceptible to image burn in over time.
DLPs have expensive projector bulbs that go out after 2 years of more use. also energy intensive.

- Sony is going to be rolling out their OLED TV's soon. If you can hang on a year or two, you could get one of these screens which are supposed to be the best of all worlds - fantastic picture (huge contrast ratio, great color and detail), low power usage, no bulbs or back lights to burn out.

I have a 42 inch plasma screen TV and when I bought it I was told that plasma screens are a sealed unit and therefore cannot have parts replaced if they should go wrong.

I don't know how true it is, I've only had the TV for 1 day and haven't had any problems with it yet!!

The picture is fantastic though.
