Yes. It's called shin splints which you get from the continuous pounding on hard ground. It's better to cycle than run. You can do alot of damage to your legs and back. Remember the girl who ran through Africa? She had tremendous damage to her spine. Think about cycling. It can be just as beneficial and less damaging as long as you don't over do it.

How long have you had your shoes? Shoes can affect your running performance and can cause injury. You should get a shoe that fits your foot type and also seeing the doctor for other recommendations.

They're shin splints. You get them from running on your heels too much. I was told that if you take an ice cube and run it down, NOT UP, your shin, then it should go away quicker.

Stop running as you have shin splits and need to let them heal.

U.S Navy Seals have extensive experience with this. Physican's magazine had an article on it years ago!

  • You may be getting "shin-splints." I advise a quick trip to your doctor, especially if he or she knows anything about sports medicine. In the meantime, back off of your running program a bit, buy some new, well-cushioned shoes, and see if any of that helps.

Well it may be obvious but it sounds like shin splints for sure?
