I think it's something to do with women getting the blame for everything, ah yes, the original sin ;-)
Becauswe God put men in charge of religion.
for the same reason that my 10 year old son has a "no girls" sign on his clubhouse. only difference is that my son will grow up.
Because the bible clearly states that "women should be silent in church"

Because Christianity , as well as the other Abrahamic religions have a large component of their belief system based in rape and misogyny. Here are some lovely tidbits from the Torah:
Genesis 3:16 - Women to suffer pain in childbirth due to original sin.
Genesis 19:8 - Lot has sex with his own daughter.
Exodus 21:7 - Its OK to sell your daughter into slavery.
Leviticus 15:19-30 - Menstruating Women are unclean.
Leviticus 21:9 - Unchaste daughters of priests must be burned to death.
Deuteronomy 20:13-15 - Kill enemy males but keep the females to rape.
Deuteronomy 22:13-22 - Stone unmarried women that have lost their hymens.
And there is much more.
The Church leaves an obligation to follow Christ's example. Historically, Christ picked only men to be his leaders and the Church believes that Christ did this for a reason.
This isn't a core believe of the Church like the divinity of Christ or Christ's position in the holy trinity.
