Help answer this question below.

Have a 1994 f350 4wd v8/ 5.8L. I started the truck two days ago and it started like normal and just started idling poorly, just rumbling like it was going to stall and then it did. I started it up again and it did the same thing. I thought maybe it should

    Is the check engine light on? If so, pull the codes, but don't automatically replace any sensors based on the result.

    There is a good chance that the problem is caused by something simple. Check the fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, cap and rotor. Go ahead and replace them if it hasn't had a tune-up in a while.

    Personally, my money is on the idle air control valve. (Especially if you pull and EGR code) Go to the parts store and aske them to pull one off the shelf for you, so you know what it looks like. Buy a can of throttle body cleaner (NOT regular carb cleaner, it has to be safe for the special coating or something like that)

    Remove the idle air control valve and spray a good healthy dose of cleaner in the hole you just took it out of. Replace the valve.

    If that works, and you start having the same problem again in a few days, replace the valve.
